Making a Difference

Cameco is proud to support Murlpirrmarra Connection and the work they do to improve the lives of young people in the communities surrounding Yeelirrie.

A group of thirteen Martu people visited the Athabasca Basin in Saskatchewan, Canada to learn about Cameco’s uranium mining practices there.

The Martu are a traditionally nomadic, hunting-gathering people living in the Pilbara desert of Western Australia, about 1200 km north of the west coast city of Perth.

Cameco respects the culture, heritage, values and beliefs of Aboriginal people.
